Square tube(GB6728-88)

  • 产品描述
  • Square tube is a term for square pipe, which refers to steel pipes with equal sides. It is made by rolling steel strip through process treatment. Generally, the strip steel is unpacked, flattened, curled, welded to form a circular tube, then rolled into a square tube and cut into the required length. Usually 50 pieces per pack.

There are two types of square pipes: seamless and welded. Seamless square pipes are formed by extruding seamless round pipes.

Performance index analysis of square tubes - plasticity

Plasticity refers to the ability of a metal material to undergo plastic deformation (permanent deformation) without failure under load.

    2. Performance index analysis of square tubes - hardness

Hardness is a pointer that measures the softness and hardness of a metal material. The most commonly used method for measuring hardness in production is the indentation hardness method, which uses a geometrically shaped indenter to press into the surface of the tested metal material under a certain load, and determines its hardness value based on the degree of indentation.

The commonly used methods include Brinell hardness (HB), Rockwell hardness (HRA, HRB, HRC), and Vickers hardness (HV).

    3. Performance index analysis of square tubes - fatigue

The strength, plasticity, and hardness discussed earlier are all indicators of the mechanical properties of metals under static loads. In fact, many machine parts work under cyclic loads, and under these conditions, the parts will experience fatigue.

    4. Performance index analysis of square tubes - impact toughness

The load acting on the machine at a high speed is called impact load, and the ability of metals to resist damage under impact load is called impact toughness.

    5. Performance index analysis of square tubes - strength

Strength refers to the ability of a metal material to resist failure (excessive plastic deformation or fracture) under static loading. Due to the modes of action of loads including tension, compression, bending, shear, etc., strength is also divided into tensile strength, compressive strength, bending strength, shear strength, etc. There is often a certain connection between various strengths, and in use, tensile strength is often used as the most basic strength indicator.
